Taiwanese smartphone brand Asus could be working on ir upcoming Zenfone 6 lineup. Much like this year’s Zenfone 5, Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5Z, Asus is expected to anunce multiple handsets under Zenfone 6 moniker at MWC 2019 early next year. But one thing body would have imagined is that Asus may be planning to opt for some drastic changes to ir design elements this time around.

Asus could be inching closer to finalising a new and slightly odd placement for tch. Well, tches are longer unkwn territory since most of brands se days have been opting for one. What changes, in fact, is size. Some phones like Google Pixel 3 XL have a bigger tch whereas devices like OnePlus 6T and Realme 2 Pro have a smaller, water-drop tch design to offer.

Asus Zenfone 6 is expected to have a bubble tch. However, Asus is more likely to put it on top right corner. Usually, tches are found in centre, right above display. But it may t necessarily be case with upcoming Asus Zenfone 6. In what appears to be a leaked video revealing Asus Zenfone 6’s design proto, phone can be seen housing a weirdly-positioned tch, which is intriguing.

hands-on video appeared online, courtesy of an Italian blog HDblog. It also goes on to show what it claims are live pictures of handset. In fact, phone could have more changes than a new tch placement. For starters, phone is expected to flaunt extremely narrow bezels and curved back and corners. handset is likely to retain a 3.5mm hephone jack unlike latest iPhones, Google Pixels and OnePlus 6T. It should continue to offer a USB -C port at bottom along with speaker grills.

Flipping phone reveals a protruding camera unit and a fingerprint reer. It seems like Asus is t planning on implementing in-display fingerprint reer techlogy on ir phones anytime soon. This year with Zenfone 5, Asus decided to employ a reflective back, which might have given phone a premium look but ended up making it hugely prone to fingerprint smudges.

If rumours are to be believed, this is certainly a design change we haven't seen before and it will be interesting to kw Asus’s take on this new tch placement if y decide to go with it at all.
