Nokia 8.1 is reportedly headed to the Indian market. Reports have it that Nokia could be on the verge to announce a new smartphone in India towards the end of this month. The smartphone in question is supposedly a rebranded Nokia X7 that was unveiled in China last month.

HMD Global is tipped to launch Nokia 8.1 as rebranded X7 across global markets including India. A 91Mobiles report goes on to say that the Nokia is set to launch the phone on November 28th. The handset is likely to cost 23,999 rupees.

Since Nokia X7 is unveiled in China, its specifications and key offerings are already in the public domain. Going by the latest report, Nokia 8.1 should have pretty much the similar offerings. It has 6.18 inches display with 1080p Full HD+ resolution, resulting in 408 ppi pixel density. Inside is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

Nokia phones are expected to offer a superior camera experience. The handset sports 13MP + 12MP dual rear sensors along with LED flash. Up front, it has a 20MP secondary shooter for selfies and video calls. The handset runs Google’s stock, clean Android Oreo software out of the box. Flipping the phone, you will find a rear-mounted fingerprint reader for security.

Last but not least, it packs a 3,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The phone should easily last at least a day with a moderate, balanced usage. It’s a dual-SIM phone and comes with 4G VoLTE connectivity, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack and all other standard features.
