If you are a OnePlus user, with your device running OxygenOS (versions 5.1.5 and above), then do check if certain apps are automatically getting killed in the background. Now, a certain section of users have reported that despite disabling automatic battery optimization, multiple apps were terminated in the background causing minor worry.
Now, as per users at the XDA Developers Forum and other forums, users have stated that battery optimization automatically switched on; despite having manually disabled the feature. At this juncture, this issue seems minor and a cross section of users have reported that apps such as SMS Backup were automatically disabled. Despite choosing to manually select Don’t Optimise by navigating to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimisation; the setting apparently switched back automatically to optimise as reported by users.
