Realme India CEO Mhav Sheth has confirmed that Realme phones will soon start receiving a custom version of ColorOS 7.0 that will be close to stock Android. We don’t kw when and we also don’t kw which Realme phones will be supported and we also don’t kw if it’s got anything to do with company’s Project X, but news should surely come as a pleasant surprise for stock Android fanatics. news also confirms all previous rumours that Realme has been working on bringing a near stock Android experience to its phones.
Realme anunced Project X in July and invited pro beta testers to sign up and try out its new software – possibly Realme OS. project was so mysterious, all beta testers were asked to sign a n-disclosure agreement with Realme. In dition to fact that only a select number of experienced beta testers were chosen for testing, it was also allowed for only on a Realme 3 Pro – or Realme phone would do. Chances are Realme is w in final sts of testing and is gearing to make things official.

Oppo’s ColorOS 6 which is based on Android 9 Pie and drives most Realme phones at this point of time has an all-new ‘borderless’ design with lighter colour schemes and newer fonts and app drawer interface. More importantly, software is a lot cleaner and more efficient from one found in past Oppo/Realme phones that were simply a cornucopia of unnecessary settings and features. But it’s still ColorOS, which is an Oppo skin. Realme going for something else to differentiate itself is t surprising at all.
re are rumours that Realme OS could be in line with OnePlus’ OxygeS with a Realme twist. Whatever be case, Realme seems set to anunce something around it soon eugh.
