Realme says it has sold 40 lakh devices in India in 7 months

Realme made its India debut in May 2018 and has since launched a flurry of affordable devices that bring lots of value to the table

Realme is seemingly on a roll in India. Oppo spin-off brand has taken to Twitter to anunce that it has sold 40 lakh Realme devices in India in only 7 months after launch. company me its debut in May 2018 with affordable online-exclusive Realme 1 phone and has since tapped into offline sales segment as well to make its products available to a wider audience.

“A great start to New Year, we are happy to anunce that Realme family is w 4 million strong! Thank you for your love. We wish we grow bigger and better in 2019,” Realme said.

Realme, that started as an online-only brand, sees offline sales as its next frontier. company has anunced that it will expand its offline presence to 150 cities across India by end of 2019. Realme will start with ten cities this month and proliferate into 50 new cities every quarter: eventually making its products available through 20,000 retail outlets or Real partners across country.

“Realme as a young brand is committed to delivering best consumer experience to our customers. Strengning our commitment, we are expanding our footprints to meet rapidly growing customer demands. With new offline stores we are extending our sales channels reaching out to our offline customers in every region. This is extension of our sales strategy and ultimate target of ‘Realme for Every Indian,” Mhav Sheth, chief executive officer, Realme India h said while making anuncement.

Realme h previously partnered with Reliance stores to make its products available in more than 130 cities across over 1300 Reliance Digital and My Jio stores.

Realme, in fact, has grown to become a viable alternative to Xiaomi in affordable price segment in a short span of time. This is also corroborated by data released by research firms like CMR and Counterpoint. That it has sold as many devices as it claims is also indicative of growing popularity of brand in India.
