Samsung embraces the dark side with Galaxy Note 10+ Star Wars edition
Although it packs the same specs, the Galaxy Note 10+ Star Wars Special Edition features a stealthier design custom-made to match the ‘dark side.’
Samsung has built a Star Wars Galaxy Note 10+ for Kylo Ren fans. Although it packs the same specs, the Galaxy Note 10+ Star Wars Special Edition features a stealthier design custom-made to match the ‘dark side.’ The phone’s essentially all-black with red accents – Samsung is also giving the S-Pen a taste of red here. There are themes and sounds to celebrate Star Wars – more precisely, the upcoming ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ - plus a case and a collector’s badge to tag along. The Galaxy Note 10+ Star Wars Special Edition also comes with matching Galaxy Buds in the box.
If all of this entices you, Samsung will be selling the Star Wars Galaxy Note 10+ in the US starting December 13 at a price of $1,300 which roughly translates into Rs 93,400. Buyers will be able to get it unlocked from Amazon, Samsung, Best Buy and Microsoft stores. Samsung will be also bringing it to 14 other markets including UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Spain – sadly, not India – starting December 10.
Unlike the regular Galaxy Note 10+, its Star Wars Special Edition will be available in limited quantities, Samsung notes. Samsung isn't the only company doing Star Wars phones. Previously, OnePlus has also launched one.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ specs and features
The Galaxy Note 10+ is Samsung’s premiere Galaxy Note with a 6.8-inch AMOLED HDR+ display with QHD+ resolution, quad rear cameras (consisting of 123-degree ultra-wide 16MP camera + 12MP dual aperture (F1.5/F2.4) main camera + telephoto 12MP F2.1 camera + ToF camera), 10MP front camera, up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage, and a 4,300mAh battery. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor in the US and runs Android 9 Pie-based One UI.
The Galaxy Note 10+ further supports fast wireless charging and reverse wireless charging and has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and IP68-certification. The Galaxy Note 10+ supports expandable storage. There are stereo speakers but there’s no headphone jack.
