Samsung is all set to start selling its highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Fold folding smartphone on Friday, September 6. The original launch date for Samsung Galaxy Fold was delayed by months due to problems with the folding screen. The South Korean electronics giant said on Thursday that Samsung Galaxy Fold is going on sale after it spent the past several months “refining” the device to improve its “design and construction.” Samsung Galaxy Fold costs nearly $2,000. Samsung Galaxy Fold will be available on September 6 in South Korea. After the official launch in South Korea, the Galaxy Fold device would be available in other key markets including the U.S., France and Singapore later in the month. The 5G versions of Samsung Galaxy Fold device will also be available markets in Britain and Germany. Samsung Galaxy Fold was originally scheduled to launch in April. It was pushed back after reports that some reviewers’ phones were breaking.

Samsung Galaxy Fold will be available in Korea on September 6, followed by select countries such as France, Germany, Singapore, U.K., U.S., and more. The device will be available in two colour options: Cosmos Black and Space Silver. Design-wise, Samsung Galaxy Fold features a 7.3-inch Infinity Flex display. When folded, users should be able to access the display comfortably with one hand. When unfolded, users can watch videos and play games.
