Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2019: Check Out 5 Potential Xiaomi And OnePlus Competitors To The Galaxy S10
Considering that the Samsung Galaxy S10 (and associated variants) are indeed showcased, then check out below five Xiaomi and OnePlus smartphones which we think could pose intense competition to Samsung in India with respect to actually capturing buyers attention
The Samsung Galaxy S10 variants are highly expected to be launched, by consumer technology enthusiasts worldwide, in an Unpacked event on February 20. At this juncture, the Galaxy S10 is undoubtedly important for Samsung considering the fact that the South Korean smartphones giant is now behind names like Xiaomi with respect to smartphone shipments in India. Here, remember that not too long ago, Samsung was numero-uno in the smartphones shipment/buyer preference segment.
Hence, considering that the Samsung Galaxy S10 (and associated variants) are indeed showcased, then check out below five Xiaomi and OnePlus smartphones which we think could pose intense competition to Samsung in India with respect to actually capturing buyers attention:
Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro: Here, remember that the Samsung Galaxy S10 is rumoured to have multiple variants - both low end as well as flagship; and the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro could potentially do well to compete with one of these purported variants considering both technical specifications as well as pricing. Xiaomi’s Mi 8 Pro is priced at nearly Rs 40000 (online) in India. USP of the smartphone is its AI dual rear cameras, and the 20MP front camera, in tandem with its Super AMOLED display. The handset is also powered by a 3000 mAH battery.
OnePlus 6T: The OnePlus 6T currently has a Rs 45000 price tag (offline). One of the USPs of the phone is its in-display fingerprint sensor, and the Android Pie -based OxygenOS 9.0.5. The OnePlus 6T comes with triple cameras, and is powered by a 3700 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery. Like the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro, the OnePlus 6T could also potentially compete with a purported mid-range Samsung Galaxy S10 variant (in case this is showcased at the February 20 Unpacked event).
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3: The Mi Mix comes with the full-screen slider that lets you slide the screen to perform a host of functions. USP of the Mi Mix 3 is that it features a 24 MP + 2 MP cameras on the front. A variant of Xiaomi’s Mi Mix is priced at Rs 30000.
OnePlus 6: Now, the OnePlus 6T (listed above) is a successor to the OnePlus 6. But the older OnePlus handset is still relevant considering the fact that it helped leapfrog OnePlus in the premium smartphone segment in Q 2018. The latter has a price tag of Rs 35000. USP of this smartphone is its 16MP +20MP dual rear cameras.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 7: The upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 that is slated to be launched in India on February 28, USP of this handset is the 48MP primary camera and 4000 mAh Lithium-Polymer battery that should on paper offer relatively longer backup. The device also runs Android Pie straight out of the box with the MIUI 10 on top. The Snapdragon 660 SoC within the phone also makes for eye-catchy technical specifications. Pricing of the device could be on the affordable side considering Xiaomi’s recent releases. Hence, when Samsung Galaxy S10 (still rumoured) variant is concerned, it could be a price vs technical specification battle with the Redmi Note 7.
