It stated that it would work out appropriate measures to increase tariffs over next few weeks even by complying with TRAI regulations.  At this juncture, BSNL is also said to have gained subscribers during month of September 2019, while incumbent telcos viz Airtel and Vodafone reportedly lost more than 49 lakh users. This data as per TRAI also reported an increase in subscriber count for Reliance Jio. During this time, BSNL reportedly ded 7.37 lakh subscribers whereas Jio is said to have ded nearly 69 lakh users during September 2019. Even earlier in year,  "Switch to BSNL" was hugely trending. This came after a comparatively long time.
