Vodafone asks users to send original Diwali wises, rather than forward

When was the last time you wished you loved ones “Happy Deepavali” by actually ing a photo and typing out the greeting, rather than just forward somebody else’s? Now, the importance of this message is showcased, by telecom operator Vodafone, with a new video. This video, shared via Twitter is now trending.

The telco is advising users and netizens to resort to composing own messages, rather than blindly resort to forwarding. The protagonist in Vodafone’s latest video is a woman sending wishes to her son who earlier simply forwards a message sent by others to his mother. This is seemingly in a heartless manner. Check out the video, below. It has been taking Twitterati by storm.  

In related news, Vodafone India, in a seemingly another Deepavali offer has stated that it would not levy Interconnect Usage Charge (IUC) on customers. This amounts to 6 paise per minute for outgoing calls made to other networks. As of now, Reliance Jio has been levying these IUC charges on customers. To reduce this burden, customers could opt for All-In-One packs which contain truly unlimited outgoing calls. Other telcos viz Airtel and BSNL have also not ben levying IUC for now.
