Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro now receiving MIUI 11 update in India 

After the Redmi K20, Redmi Note 7 Pro users in India are now receiving the MIUI 11 update – in line with Xiaomi’s official announcement.

After Redmi K20, Redmi te 7 Pro users in India are w receiving MIUI 11 update – in line with Xiaomi’s official anuncement. Redmi te 7 Pro users are taking to Xiaomi’s online MIUI forum to confirm getting MIUI 11 update, alongside sharing screenshots of said update. MIUI 11 update for Redmi te 7 Pro weighs in at 746B and tags along October Android security patch as well. It isn’t clear if MIUI update also bumps up Android version to Android 10 in Redmi te 7 Pro. 

Xiaomi will be updating as many as 28 of its devices to MIUI 11. MIUI is Android-based software that runs on all Xiaomi devices except its Android One phones like Mi A3. Xiaomi h anunced that it will roll out MIUI 11 update in a phased manner beginning October end (from October 22, to be precise) at Redmi te 8 Pro/Redmi te 8 India launch keyte event. And indeed, it has started rolling out update with Redmi K20 and Redmi te 7 Pro falling in first wave of devices to get new update.

MIUI 11 update for Xiaomi devices

first phase which will last until October 31 will see Xiaomi phones such as Poco F1, Redmi K20, Redmi Y3, Redmi 7, Redmi te 7, Redmi te 7s, and Redmi te 7 Pro getting MIUI 11 update. In second phase (vember 4-vember 12) phones like Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro, Redmi 6A, Redmi te 5, Redmi te 5 Pro, Redmi 5, Redmi 5A, Redmi te 4, Redmi Y1, Redmi Y1 Lite, Redmi Y2, Redmi 4, Mi Mix 2, and Mi Max 2 will be updated to MIUI 11. Phones like Redmi te 6 Pro, Redmi 7A, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A and Redmi te 8 will be updated to MIUI 11 in phase 3 (vember 13-vember 29). Redmi te 8 Pro will meanwhile be last to get MIUI update between December 18-26. 

Xiaomi claims MIUI 11 update “significantly upgres design element and brings a new set of refined features with a visually enhanced interface with Dark Mode,” plus it brings “new customizations to popular Always-on display” in compatible phones. MIUI 11 update will also bring new dynamic ambient nature sounds for tifications plus a new Mint Keyboard with support for over 25 Indian langus. But just because a Xiaomi phone is updated to MIUI 11, doesn’t mean that it will also be updated to Android 10.
