Mi Watch will support e-SIM for cellular connectivity which means that it will be possible to stay connected on it without a tered smartphone. Mi Watch will also support NFC as well as GPS. While hardware isn’t explicitly mentioned, Mi Watch will possibly be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 which also raises possibility that this could be long-rumoured Wear OS-based Xiaomi smartwatch that we’ve been hearing about.
A reference to a yet to be published Mi Wear app – app doesn’t exist right w – found in Wear OS APK recently raised speculation that Xiaomi may be joining in Wear OS smartwatch bandwagon, with furr investigation revealing that company may call it Mi Watch. furr details are kwn at this point of time, but should Xiaomi be working on such a smartwatch, it could mean good news for Wear OS. Even better if it’s same one that is launching in China on vember 5.
