PC players can start Beyond Light's pre-lo on Steam platform from 9 pm PST (5 am GMT). One thing to te is that installation process took more than game's usual requirements. A total of around 186GB was needed for this installation but after completion, game size will come down to around a third of this size.
engineering director of Destiny, David Aldridge mentioned reasons for why this happened, and even ackwledged that was going to be very tough for players who have slower or metered connections, but he also ded that due to a combination of culling unused or replaced content, install size optimizations, and moving some content to Destiny Content Vault, Destiny 2’s install size will shrink to between 59 and 71GB (depending on platform).
