first step is to open furnace to get Furnace menu on screen.

w, you need to click on fuel option to add some fuel to lower fuel box in furnace. You can eir use coal or wood as your fuel.

After adding fuel, you need to add block of cactus in top box of furnace. In a few seconds, you will see flames cooking material.
