PlayStation Network back online after major global outage

PlayStation Network global outage: Sony's PlayStation Network suffered a major global outage on Tuesday morning with gamers across globe complaining of being unable to play and downlo games, signing in ir accounts, and making in-app purchases via PlayStation Network. Now, hours after outage first began, services on PlayStation Network have been partially restored.

According to details shared by company on PlayStation Network Page, company has resolved all account management issues. With this update, gamers across globe should be able to sign in ir accounts, create new accounts and edit account details without any issues.

In dition to this, company has also fixed issues affecting functioning of PlayStation Store. With this, gamers should be able to make in-app purchases, downlo games, browse PlayStation Store, search and redeem vouchers easily.

se issues were persistent on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita and PlayStation Web and have been resolved on all platforms.

Not all PlayStation Network issues have been resolved yet

That said, not all issues pertaining to PlayStation Network have been resolved yet. PlayStation Network Service Status page shows that issues pertaining to game streaming have not been resolved yet, which may prevent gamers from launching apps.

"You might have difficulty launching games, apps or network features. We're working to resolve issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience," company wrote in an update on PlayStation Network Service Status page.

However, this issue is restricted primarily to Sony PlayStation 5. Sony has said that it is working on resolving this issue at earliest.

Cause of PlayStation Network outage

It is worth mentioning that Sony hasn't shared reason that led to this global outage. It hasn't acknowledged issue on its social media channels eir. Hopefully, we will hear more from company when issue has been resolved completely.
