PlayStation 5 is shaping up to be one of biggest gaming console releases this year. pre-bookings for Sony’s flagship console recently went live in select markets and it’s already kwn when units will be out for shipping on vember 12. However, that doesn’t seem to be case in India. company is yet to anunce pre-booking details or confirm any information surrounding availability of console in country. This is because Sony has been struggling to acquire trademark rights to PS5 name in India.

According to a report by Naco Reactor, a Delhi-based resident named Hitesh Aswani had applied for PS5 trademark in India. report also cited publicly viewable documentation and claimed that Hitesh Aswani had filed application late last year, whereas Sony only filed for trademark in February, this year.
report furr added that application from both parties to use trademark is being opposed at moment which indicates that ongoing conflict is being resolved by respective regulatory bodies in country.

When will PS5 launch in India?
PlayStation 5 is scheduled to launch next month on vember 12 in select markets including US, Canada, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia. In India, gaming console was initially speculated to launch on vember 19, along with rest of world. However, with ongoing trademark conflict, it is likely that gaming console will be delayed in India until issue is resolved before time. Furrmore, it should also be ted that PS5 pre-orders are still t available in India, which is a clear indicator that gaming console could be delayed in country.

PS5 price in India?
Sony has revealed that PS5 Digital Edition will retail for $399, whereas PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-Ray Disc Drive will cost $499. However, company is yet to reveal exact pricing for India market.
