Earlier this week, a huge number of pro-Trump protesters swarmed US Capitol building, inving chambers and various or places. events ultimately led to live streaming service Twitch removing Pogchamp, which happened to be one of most prominent emotes on platform. It became one of hottest global emotes on Twitch when it was first ded in 2012. It has since been used by viewers to express surprise in chats or when y saw something particularly hyped. emote also went on to become a big part of Twitch culture, where different variations of 'word' were used by Twitch streamers and even YouTube content creators to convey an expression.

Why did PogChamp get removed from Twitch?
PogChamp emote was pulled off by Twitch after popular gamer Ryan Gutierrez, better kwn as Gootecks ( face behind emote), posted a controversial tweet on his Twitter handle following riot at US Capitol. Gootecks questioned on his Twitter if re will be civil unrest for woman who was executed inside Capitol. With emote w removed from platform, it is obvious that Twitch users will longer be able to use it on platform. However, last tweet from streaming service confirms that company will be working to develop a new emote which can be used by people to express most hype moments on platform. This also means that streaming site has plans to bringing back PogChamp emote in future.
