Google Wear OS 2 to support Google Pay in 16 new countries, Messages app receives update

Smartwatches that run on Wear OS 2 are getting an update that will introduce Google Pay and Messages and or third-party applications. While se applications are alrey a part of Wear OS 3 that is currently available in Galaxy Watch 4 series, smartwatches running on Wear OS 2 such as TicWatch or Fossil models will also receive firmware updates and will support features. Wear OS 2 will get Google Pay in 16 new countries 

Google will bring a refreshed design of Google Pay application to smartwatches that are running on wear OS 2. When update will be in place, users will be able to view clear images of ir cards on smartwatch screen, which will help m to select an appropriate card and make contactless payments from ir list. ditionally, Google has expanded support for Google Pay to 16 new countries, including Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Demark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Slovakia, Sweden, Taiwan, Ukraine and United Arab Emirates. mentioned countries will now be able to make payments using smartwatches. While Indian version of Google Pay on Wear OS 2 is not available yet, Google has said that it will expand horizon of its services to more countries in due course of time. 

Google Messages on  Wear OS 2 improves

Yet anor update that existing Wear OS users will receive in coming days is regarding Google Messages app, which will enable users to not only receive messages on smartwatch but reply from smartwatch as well. In such a scenario, users will have an option of replying through pre-set messages or through an emoji. ditionally, users can also reply from on-screen keyboard or use speech-to-text for speaking out replies. Besides all se updates, Google Wear OS three will also receive or features from Wear OS 3 that was recently launched by Google and Samsung in Galaxy Watch 4, like sleep cycle, Spotify and Strava. On a related note, Samsung's Watch 3 series is still running on One UI 2.0. Wher it will get an update to unified platform created by Samsung and Google is unclear.
