HONOR says the HONOR Magic V3 is the thinnest foldable smartphone, which will soon be available in select European markets.
HONOR has launched its latest foldable smartphone at the ongoing IFA (Internationale FunkAusstellung Berlin) trade show, adding to the competition in the foldable smartphone market. The new HONOR Magic V3 originally debuted in China in July, but the company is taking it to global markets through a dedicated event in Berlin, Germany. The company says the HONOR Magic V3 is the thinnest foldable smartphone, which will soon be available in select European markets. Its India debut plans are, however, still under the wraps.
HONOR Magic V3 price
The Magic V3 foldable smartphone has a starting price of EUR 1,999 (approximately Rs 1,87,000) and comes in green, black, and reddish-brown colours. The company has not revealed the sale timelines yet.
HONOR Magic V3 specifications
Featuring a thickness of 9.2mm, the HONOR Magic V3 has a 7.92-inch full-HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the inside and a 6.43-inch full-HD+ OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate on the cover. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset powers the HONOR Magic V3 – pitting it against the likes of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. HONOR is touting that the foldable smartphone has generative artificial intelligence (Gen AI) features, such as Face to Face Translation, AI Eraser, and AI Summary in Notes, among others. Its AI features are also available for photos, allowing users to make edits such as removing people or adding a different background. The HONOR Magic V3 has a 50MP main camera, a 40MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera on the back. The cover display has a 20MP camera for selfies and video calls. It houses a 5150mAh battery that charges at up to 66W using a cable and 50W wirelessly.
