Reliance Jio has announced a Diwali Dhamaka Offer for its Jio Bharat 4G phones, slashing their prices from Rs 999 to Rs 699. The company has announced that the price cut is temporary, meaning the Jio Bharat 4G phones will go back to their original prices of Rs 999 post-Diwali celebrations.

Jio Bharat 4G phones like the Karbonn Bharat K1 and Jio Bharat V2 will now cost Rs 699 – the cheapest they will be available for since the launch. “This special Diwali offer is here to ensure everyone can connect with their loved ones seamlessly,” said the Mukesh Ambani -led company in a release.

The monthly plan on the Jio Bharat 4G phones costs Rs 123, which the company says gives customers a savings of Rs 76 per month compared to the “lowest feature phone plan” from other operators. Jio said the Jio Bharat plan is about 40 per cent cheaper than its counterpart from other brands. “This effectively means that you get the price of the phone back in 9 months through the plan savings, and the Jio Bharat phone becomes effectively free,” said the company.

Customers get unlimited voice calls, 14GB of monthly data, access to over 455 live TV channels on JioTV and videos, live sports, and movies on JioCinema, and UPI services through the JioPay app. The plan is required to use Jio Bharat 4G phones.
