An amateur photographer has snapped some startling gone-in-a-gulp ims of a vemous snake devouring an unlucky bug at Ozark National Forest in Arkansas in United States. Charlton McDaniel of Fort Smith says he was “fascinated and captivated” to see a copperhe eat a newly emerged cica at dusk on July 17.
42-year-old McDaniel told Associated Press that he was in forest for some moonlight kayaking when he ticed a molting cica. McDaniel says snake showed up, and he twice scared off reptile but eventually, reptile grabbed insect.

McDaniel also took to Facebook to share a series of im of captivating incident. “I got lucky or night and caught two events in one near Mulberry River. I ticed a cica nymph crawling on ground and was hoping it would stop soon to molt and emerge when I saw how it looked, he wrote in post’s caption. “I was excited when it did, but n something unexpected happened afterwards that me me jump at first. A copperhe snuck up to eat it. I scared it off twice to finish taking sequence pictures, but third time it was successful,” he furr ded.
