The top 5 hashtags on Twitter in 2019 include the likes of Thala Ajith and Mahesh Babu's films dominating. These overtook even the recent Indian elections.

Which were the most used hashtags on Twitter in 2019? The five most popular hashtags from the time period between 1 January till 30 June are now out and these are surprising as there are movies that are dominating. The recent Indian general elections was also a most popular hashtag which you (created) and popularized on the micro-blogging site. For Twitterati, it is only worth knowing about the hashtags that they created and hugely popularized this year. The remainder of the year is still there and would undoubtedly witness domination of a fresh set of trending hashtags. According to official data by Twitter, the most 5 most popular hashtags from the time period ranging1 January till 30 June are as below. The top 1 trend is dominated by Viswasam which is a movie by South Indin actor Ajith (aka Thala Ajith), then there is the Lok Sabha Elections 2019, followed by CWC 2019, and yet another movie Maharshi (by another top South Indian actor Mahesh Babu), the fifth trend is New Profile Pic. Here, no bollywood movie has found place. This is yet another interesting aspect to note as far as social media trends are concerned.
