Telangana's tourism push

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has outlined ambitious plans to bolster temple tourism, eco-tourism, and health tourism in Telangana. The state will adopt successful practices from leading global destinations to ensure its competitiveness. Key components of this strategy include improving transport, accommodation, and other tourist amenities.

In addition to these policies, the Chief Minister has proposed exploring safari opportunities in the Kawal and Amrabad forest areas and developing eco-friendly cottages at popular tourist sites for extended stays. These measures are intended to offer a more immersive experience of Telangana’s rich natural and cultural heritage.

The highlight of the announcement is the development of the 1,000-acre zoological park. Located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, this expansive park will house a diverse collection of animals and birds from across various regions. The project aims to provide a world-class zoological experience, drawing inspiration from successful models such as Anant Ambani ’s Vantara animal shelter in Jamnagar. The state government is seeking collaboration with industrialists and stakeholders to bring this vision to fruition.
