Uttar: Prayers for trapped workers at Baba Basukinath Temple built at tunnel entrace

A temple of Baba Basukinath was built at the main entrance of the Silkyara tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi on November 22. Prayers are taking place at the Baba Basukinath temple for the safety of workers trapped after the tunnel collapsed on November 12. Meanwhile, the location has been identified for vertical drilling to bring out 41 workers trapped inside the Silkyara tunnel. A six-inch pipeline was used to send food items to the stranded workers on November 20 to serve hot meals after nine days. Rescuers were seen filling khichdi in cylindrical bottles which were sent to the workers. Apart from food, a walkie-talkie has been sent inside to establish communication. A part of the Silkyara tunnel collapsed in Uttarkashi on November 12.
