Trump 'Offended' by Putin's Backing of Kamala Harris in 2024 US Elections

Former president Donald Trump , on Saturday (September 7), said he was offended by Russian president Vladimir Putin 's endorsement of his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump's comments come after Putin, in a teasing comment earlier this week, said Russia wants Kamala Harris to win the U.S. presidential election and cited her "infectious" laugh as a reason to prefer her over Donald Trump. "He endorsed Kamala. I was very offended by that. I wonder why he endorsed Kamala. No, he's a chess player," Trump told supporters at a rally in Mosinee, Wisconsin, before questioning whether Putin made the remark "with a smile". Putin made the ironic remark a day after the U.S. Justice Department charged two Russian media executives over an alleged illegal scheme to influence the November election with pro-Russian propaganda.
