Viral Video: A viral video has surfaced on social media that shows a broad daylight robbery in Ahmedabad where a 28 kg bag full of silver is looted in minutes.
The shocking incident is said to have happened in Gujarat 's Ahmedabad, where a man was robbed of 28 kg of silver ornaments in broad daylight. The robbery took place in the Krishnanagar area of Ahmedabad, where the culprits, a man and woman, were caught on CCTV cameras.
The victim, an employee of a jewellery store, was waiting outside the shop with a black suitcase on his scooter, which is said to be full of silver, when the robbers struck.
The woman, disguised in a veil, snatched the bag containing the silver and fled on a bike driven by her accomplice, as shown in the viral CCTV video. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and the police are now investigating the matter. The stolen silver's worth is said to be around Rs 23 lakh.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of people in Ahmedabad and has also highlighted the need for better security measures at jewellery stores.
Ahmedabad Loot Viral Video
According to sources, the robbery took place on Wednesday, October 10, 2024, at around 12:30 PM. The victim, Vikesh Shah, was waiting outside the Lalbhai Jewellers showroom in Krishnanagar when the robbers approached him.
Shah told the police that he had two bags of silver ornaments with him, one weighing 28 kg and the other weighing 16.3 kg.
The woman snatched the 28 kg bag and fled on a scooter with her partner, who was waiting on the bike a few steps away from the shop. The police are investigating the matter and have released the CCTV footage of the robbery.
They are also appealing to the public for any information that could help them identify the culprits.
