Agra Woman Demands Divorce After 40 Days of Marriage; The Reason Will Leave You Shocked

Agra: A woman in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, has demanded a divorce from her husband just 40 days after their wedding. The reason is both amusing and shocking.

The wife complained about her husband's poor hygiene, claiming that he only showered once or twice a month. She approached a family counseling center, stating that she could not continue living with a man who maintained such habits.

When questioned, the husband admitted to bathing only once or twice a month, occasionally sprinkling Ganga Jal (water from the River Ganga) on his body. However, he mentioned that during their 40-day marriage, he bathed six times at his wife’s insistence.

Reports suggest that a few weeks into the marriage, the couple had heated arguments, leading the wife to return to her parent's home. She and her family eventually filed a dowry harassment complaint and demanded a divorce.

Though the husband agreed to improve his hygiene and bathe daily after discussions with the police, the wife remained unconvinced and refused to live with him.

The couple has been asked to return to the counseling center on September 22 for further resolution.
