Ahmedabad Hotel Prices Surge Ahead of Coldplay Infinity Booking, Netizens Furious

Viral News: Just days after British pop band Coldplay announced a new show in Ahmedabad as part of its much-awaited "Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025," several netizens shared the surged prices of hotels despite having made reservations earlier. Recently, an X user shared a screenshot of communication with a hotel, where the booking price was raised exponentially from ₹5,521 to ₹16,000.

One user wrote, "This is not done. Perfect case to pursue under consumer protection law. Happy to get you legal help at no cost."  
Another stated, "This is fraud and breach of contract... Even if the hotel reverses the stance, the fact they tried to pull one over on you means they don't deserve your business."

A third person defended the hotel, saying, "Once in a blue moon opportunity for everyone, probably happens everywhere in the world."  
"This is fraud, plain and simple," a fourth user remarked.  

In a similar incident after the concert dates were announced, screenshots of hotels increasing prices to as high as ₹90,000 for one night went viral.  
"Hotel rooms in ITC Narmada Ahmedabad are selling for ₹90,000 per night on the 25th. If you manage to get Coldplay tickets, you also need to spend six months of an Indian middle-class person's income to simply visit the city," said an X user.
