A horrific incident has been reported in Andhra Pradesh’s Anakapalli, which involves a dance group named Vishnu Entertainment. The group took part in a program where the performance turned into a controversy, and the video of that incident is circulating all over the internet. According to the reports, the group was accused of beheading a hen with its mouth in front of the entire audience, which resulted in a police case being registered against the whole group.

The group was performing a dance that was looking normal until a performer with a hen in hand came forward and beheaded it with his mouth. In the viral video, one performer of the group pulls out a hen during the performance who was dressed in a red saree, walks ahead to the edge of the stage, and bites off the hen’s head, leaving the poor hen struggling.

Moreover, this barbarism didn't end there, and then the dancer started pulling out the flesh with his teeth and drinking the flowing blood. And he also sprays it all over his mouth. As soon as the video went viral, the police responded. Peta India shared the viral video on Instagram. 

As the public was outraged by this barbaric act, the authorised police department registered a case against Vishnu Entertainment based on the complaints for the hen, which was mistreated in front of the public and in which there were children.

Police Case Filed Under Sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act

According to the reports, the case against the dance group was filed under Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960, and the case was also filed under Section 11(1)(a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The law prohibits the torture of animals, and it was enforced by Peta. The reason for this action is not yet defined, but the police took action against the group on July 6 to hold them accountable for the actions during performance.
