Viral News: Who doesn't love grabbing a fancy coffee before work? However, according to Kevin O'Leary, one might have to cut that habit short.

Shark Tank judge Kevin O'Leary also known as Mr. Wonderful, famous for his blunt opinions, has recently made headlines for criticizing workers' spending habits, specifically targeting their daily coffee and lunch expenditures.

In a recent Instagram post, the Canadian businessman shared what he described as “money-saving advice” and took aim at employees who spend on daily coffee and lunches.

“Stop buying coffee for $5.50. You go to work and spend $15 on a sandwich—what are you, an idiot?” O'Leary remarked in a financial advice video shared last week. He suggested that a homemade sandwich could cost as little as 99 cents, emphasizing that the cumulative savings from such small changes could be substantial.

“You start to add that up every day, and it's a ton of money. Most people, particularly those starting out with a $60,000 salary, waste about $15,000 a year on trivial things. That’s what they need to stop doing,” he added.

The post quickly went viral, amassing over 10,751 likes and sparking mixed reactions from netizens.

One user agreed with O'Leary's perspective, writing, “Some really stupid comments on here. Make your own lunch already. It’s money in your pocket, even if it costs $5.00. You still save!”

Another user remarked, “This is why people blame inflation. It’s not inflation; it’s the convenience of having someone else make your food and beverage.”

However, not everyone agreed. A third user disagreed with O'Leary's stance, noting, “This ignores reality. Yes, bringing food from home costs less money than buying takeaway. But for people with disabilities or neurodivergent conditions, making and packing nourishing food takes mental and physical resources that money can’t replace.”

Another user countered, “Drink that coffee and buy that sandwich. Don’t let a rich dude tell you what you can and cannot do with your own money. No one is telling him what to do with his.”

Lastly, one user pointed out the irony, writing, “Spend millions on watches, but save on coffee?”
