Bengaluru: Police Constable Risks Life to Nab Notorious Thief, CCTV Video Goes Viral

Bengaluru: In a daring act of bravery, a police constable from Koratagere Police Station in Tumkuru has been hailed as a hero after risking his life to apprehend a notorious thief. 

The incident, captured on CCTV, has now gone viral on social media with people praising police constable's act of bravery.

The accused, identified as Manjesh, alias Manja, alias Hatke Manja, is a hardened criminal with a history of targeting elderly individuals for their gold chains. Believing his victims to be pensioners with access to government benefits, Manja had become a terror in the region.

The dramatic arrest took place near the Sadashivanagar police station in Bengaluru. The CCTV footage shows the constable in a fierce struggle with the thief, demonstrating exceptional courage and determination.

With over 10 cases registered against him in Koratagere, Madhugiri, and Hebburu police stations in Tumkur district, Manja was a high-profile target for the police. His capture is seen as a major breakthrough in the fight against crime in the area.
