Recently, an X user pointed out the difference between the price of the restaurant and the price shown on Zomato.
Here he showed a difference of almost 200 rupees. He posted this on the microblogging website X (formerly Twitter), where he, on one side, has the receipt for the Murugan Idly Shop, and on the other side, he has the total of all the same items selected on the food delivery app Zomato.

The difference between both orders is:
The difference between the total number of orders was astonishing for the users. The total price ordered from the restaurant was Rs. 803, whereas the same order showed a tally of Rs. 987 on the food delivery app Zomato. The author of the post wrote a caption with it that read, “My uncle ordered food from Murugan Idly Shop. See the price difference between @zomato and actual.”

What was the order?
Kanan added an order of 6 Idlis, 2 Ghee Podi Idli, 1 Masala Dosa, 1 Chettinad Masala Dosa, and 1 Mysore Masala Dosa. For this order, he had to pay Rs. 803 at the Murugan Idly Shop, whereas if he had ordered it from the food delivery app, the cost would be Rs 987. People in the comment sections, in one view, said that it is quite normal as the delivery app has to make a margin to pay the charges.
