In a recent viral news story, Mishquat, a woman from Mumbai whose favourite drink is Starbucks' cinnamon coffee, has spent over ₹9.4 lakh on this order through Zomato. This information was shared by the Zomato team on LinkedIn through an ad film. Moreover, the company celebrated the customer and her love for cinnamon coffee by offering a discount code to all customers.

Zomato’s marketing head, Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney, shared this ad clip on LinkedIn. In the ad film, a storyline is created in which one character plays Mishquat’s mother, who becomes furious upon seeing a big card showing her daughter has spent so much money. She demands the money back that her daughter has spent, and the store manager tries to explain. Meanwhile, Mishquat orders her special coffee again, and a Zomato delivery boy arrives at the outlet to collect it. Mishquat’s mother grabs the order, tastes it, and becomes emotional after drinking it.

While sharing the video, Sahibjeet Singh Sawhney wrote, “Mishquat, from Mumbai, has ordered over ₹9.4 lakhs from Starbucks on Zomato. This video is our tribute to her. 😍 Special thanks to her mom for letting us create this :)”. The video has gone viral with over 1,300 reactions and more than 50 comments.

Users' Reactions to the Viral Video:

  • “Plot twist: Mishquat is actually a secret shareholder in Starbucks.”
  • “Do you guys eat Marketing for breakfast? How are you so high on it? Kudos.”
  • “Mishquat's Starbucks order could fund a startup.”
  • “Meanwhile, I’m calculating that if a tall Starbucks drink with cinnamon costs approx ₹320 without any customization, that’s around ₹9,600 in a month and ₹1,15,200 in a year. So, it’s been approximately 8 years since she’s been ordering from Zomato. In this scenario, we’re considering she’s just ordering the Mishquat special for herself.
P.S. Since Starbucks was listed on Zomato in 2020, she might have placed bulk orders or group orders on some days as well. Not accounting for that. Lol.”
