A British couple was caught in the act and kicked off an EasyFlight due to their "public sex show." Reportedly, the incident occurred in March when Bradley Smith and Antonia Sullivan sparked outrage after being caught performing a sexual act in public, leading to them being escorted off the flight.
According to reports, the couple was on a flight to Bristol, returning from a holiday in Tenerife, Spain, when several co-passengers reported their inappropriate behavior.
According to a leading British newspaper, Bradley Smith sat in seat 16A next to his girlfriend, Antonia Sullivan, who was seated in 16B on the 7 AM flight. Their co-passenger in seat 16C witnessed the NSFW act.
A mother and her minor daughter, sitting in the row behind the couple, also witnessed the incident.
What Exactly Happened?
Their co-passenger in seat 16C was one of three people who saw the explicit act, according to The Sun. A mother and daughter duo sitting behind the couple also witnessed it.
According to witnesses, Bradley asked Antonia to perform a lewd act after the flight took off from Spain. The couple arranged some clothes over Bradley’s lap and began their explicit act in the packed flight.
“After a few minutes, the witness was aware that the couple had arranged some coats over Smith’s lap, and there followed vigorous hand movements beneath the coat,” prosecutor Maree Doyle told Bristol magistrates’ court. “The witness sitting next to them could see what was happening, while a mother and teenage daughter sitting behind the couple could also see what was going on,” the prosecutor said.
When angry passengers called the cabin crew to complain, Antonia denied the allegations, but the couple was later kicked off the flight.
In court, the couple pleaded guilty to committing a sexual act in public. They were ordered to pay £100 (approximately ₹11,000) in compensation to each of the three witnesses.
Bradley was also ordered to complete 300 hours of community service, while Antonia was sentenced to 270 hours.
Judge Lynne Matthews reprimanded the couple for their explicit behavior in public, saying, “You had no regard for the feelings of other passengers. There was a child sitting behind you who was able to see what was happening. Who do you think you are, and what right do you think entitled you to behave in that way in full view of people on that flight?”
