Viral News: A customer who visited L’Opera’s Khan Market outlet in Delhi on October 4 has shared a disappointing experience on reddit. The customer ordered an iced latte but was shocked when she found a cockroach floating in her drink when she settled in her car to savor it.

While initially the person thought it was a coffee bean, it was later discovered that it was actually a cockroach.

The customer rushed back to the outlet to confront them about the dead cockroach floating in their iced tea. However, the staff apologized for the foreign particle, the customer said that they showed “no real concern at all”.

“I visited L’Opéra today in Khan Market and ordered an iced latte to go. When I opened the drink, I thought I saw a coffee bean floating around, but when I flipped it over, it was a freaking cockroach,” wrote the customer who goes by “WaltzSimple6037” on Reddit.

They added, “I’m seriously questioning how clean this place is now. What made it worse was how the staff handled it—they were so nonchalant and just kept saying sorry like robots, no real concern at all. If hygiene is this bad at such a well-known cafe, I can’t even imagine what it’s like at other places in India.”

“Anyone else had similar issues here or at other cafes? This was such a letdown,” the Redditor further asked.

One commenter expressed disbelief, stating, “This is absolutely unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that’s reputed.” Another user echoed these sentiments, suggesting that “food safety protocols need to be revisited at this place.”

While another wrote "Another added, “There are no food standards in India, even when you pay such a high price for a drink. Post it on X and tag their account.”
