New Delhi: Chinmay Sharma, a Tang Soo Do athlete from Delhi, has performed a “martial arts 360 kick” that earned him a place on the Guinness World Records (GWR) list.
“Highest unassisted martial arts 360 kick (male), 2.08 m (6 ft 9 in) by Chinmay Sharma,” the organization announced, sharing a video of the record-holder.

In a separate blog post, GWR explained that Sharma achieved the feat in Delhi on August 4 this year.
"The highest unassisted martial arts 360 kick (male) is 2.08 m (6 ft 9 in) and was achieved by Chinmay Sharma (India) in New Delhi, Delhi, India, on 4 August 2024," the blog read.

The video has garnered numerous likes and comments, leaving netizens impressed. Many congratulated Sharma on his achievement, with several users simply commenting, "Congratulations."
However, a few were unimpressed, claiming the feat was not worth a record. One person commented, “It is easy.” Another asked, “Why is this even a world record?” A third user wrote, “Anyone can do that higher, but it wasn’t copyrighted by Guinness World Records, so it doesn’t count.”

Who is Chinmay Sharma?
Chinmay Sharma is a martial artist who has earned several other Guinness World Records. He describes himself as a self-defense trainer and has served as the head coach at the Lion Institute of Martial Arts for the past seven years. Besides teaching over 150 students at the institute, he has provided self-defense training to girls and women. Sharma has received several awards in his career, which spans over 15 years.
