Mumbai, the city that never stops, comes to a halt only in the monsoon when the local trains suffer stoppages and cancellations. Half of the population in the city relies on the local train, and when it stops, it disrupts the rhythm and routine of every commuter. And nowadays, it is happening too often, which is frustrating for the passengers who are dependent on it.
A passenger who frequently uses the Mumbai local for his commute reached the station and again found himself waiting for the train. He was waiting for the 10:22 am fast local to Churchgate when the clock was showing 10:26 am, but the train was nowhere near the platform. And finally, he posted this frustration on X (formerly Twitter).

He wrote, “Dear @WesternRly @IndianRailMedia @AshwiniVaishnaw passengers are frequently facing issue of train cancellation of 10:22 Churchgate Fast local from borivali. It happens frequently and there is no announcement of prior or post-cancellation. This is literally frustrating.”
In his post, he tagged the railway media account Western Railway and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. And in a few minutes, the Railway Seva account replied to him, saying, “For necessary action escalated to the concerned official @Drmbct.”

Later, the official Twitter account of the Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division of Western Railway, replied to the same post and said, “Your train has been cancelled because the rake arrived late at Churchgate. This was due to the AC local train taking extra time at various stations as the doors were obstructed by passengers.”
This was not the reply Sanket was expecting, and he wrote back that because of the lack of railway police, the passengers had to suffer, and he wrote, “But this should be handled by

This is not the single incident where the Mumbai local train got cancelled without any information. This is quite a common thing during the monsoon season.
