A viral video captured the dramatic moment as the building collapsed within seconds, sending a thick cloud of dust into the air and leaving behind a pile of nearly scrap of multi story stories tall building.

Hertz Tower Demolished
The high-rise structure suffered major damage as a result of the 2020 hurricane. It was cheaper to demolish it.

The Hertz Tower in Louisiana, earlier known as the Capital One Tower, had been a dominant feature of the city's skyline for more than four decades.

However, after a couple of hurricanes hit southwest Louisiana in 2020, the structure became weak therefore the local authorities decided to demolish the entire structure.
Spectators watched as an abandoned, 22-story building in Lake Charles, Louisiana was imploded Saturday after sitting vacant for nearly four years.

The tower fell in a large cloud of dust into a pile about five stories high.
