In April 2022, Tata spoke at the opening of the Dibrugarh Cancer Centre in Assam , which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi . The center was developed by the Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF), a partnership between the state government and Tata Trusts. This facility is part of a larger project to create 17 medical centers across the state.

Despite managing over 30 companies worldwide, Ratan Tata never sought public attention and was not included in billionaire lists.
