Bengaluru: A Bengaluru resident has surprised the internet with his quick decision to order a brand-new laptop and get it delivered within 13 minutes. The man placed the order while sitting in a Starbucks.
Sunny R. Gupta took to social media to detail his instant laptop delivery saga on X. He shared updates till the laptop was delivered to him.
Gupta said he placed the order on Flipkart Minutes, which promises to deliver orders in 15 minutes.
“Just ordered a laptop from Flipkart Minutes. 7 minutes delivery,” he wrote, adding, “Immediately after the order, the tracking page showed ‘slightly delayed’ and updated the time to 12 minutes.”
Flipkart Minutes commits to rapid delivery and dispatching of high-end gadgets like laptops, which are not available on other delivery platforms.
He also added, “Let me clarify, I actually wanted to buy a laptop. Got a 15-minute option, bought it. While I was waiting, thought I’d tweet about it. That’s all. Now, it looks like someone from @Flipkart’s marketing team got hold of this, and some paid folks are quoting my tweet with a specific hashtag. I’m not associated with them. Mujhe kisi ne koi paisa nahi diya.”
Internet's Reaction
This left internet users exhilarated as well as stunned.
A comment read: “Can't believe Flipkart is delivering super-fast now! I stopped ordering from them after it took 15 days to deliver a phone that was supposed to arrive in 4. Guess competition does work wonders!”
Another comment said, “India is killing it in quick commerce. Not sure if it can be sustained in the future, but kudos for what's going on right now.”
“Getting a laptop delivered in 13 minutes is insane! Indian quick commerce is on steroids!” one of the comments read.
