Mangaluru Owner Changes Bus Name from ‘Israel Travels’ to ‘Jerusalem’ Amid West Asia Tensions

Viral News: An owner of a bus in Mangaluru landed himself in hot water following backlash over the name of his travel company.

Lester Kateel had no option but to rename the bus from Israel Travels to Jerusalem Travels.

The name of the agency went viral, leading to objections from the public due to the ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

Lester, who worked in Israel for 12 years, chose the name out of respect for the country. However, due to the ongoing conflict, he opted to change the name to avoid further controversies.  

Speaking to a leading media outlet, Kateel mentioned that some people had criticized the name.

"Soon after noticing these messages on social media, I decided to change the name," he said.

He also mentioned that the police never intervened.

"I have no idea why people have issues with ‘Israel Travels’," he added
