Viral News: As the U.S. Presidential elections approach, various rumors and speculations are surfacing about who may join the Republican candidate and former U.S. President's administration. Elon Musk dropped a hint on Saturday by sharing an AI-generated image of himself with the initials “DOGE.”

The AI image was captioned "Department of Government Efficiency," captivating internet users. Musk is seen donning a leather jacket, a gold chain, and large black sunglasses, giving off a bold and fearless look. 

The viral post has garnered 29.2 million views, sparking varied reactions.

This post comes amidst growing speculation about a potential role for Musk in a future Trump administration.

Last month, former President Donald Trump hinted that he might offer Musk a significant position in his cabinet if re-elected. While speaking at the New York Economic Club, Trump outlined his plan to boost the economy and reaffirmed Musk’s potential role in chairing this group. 

The former President aims to audit the federal government through “drastic reforms.”

Musk reacted to Trump’s proposal by writing on X: “I look forward to serving America if the opportunity arises.” He added, “No pay, no title, no recognition is needed.”

Musk’s recent post showed his interest in the “Department of Government Efficiency,” or D.O.G.E. 

Although DOGE is not an official position, Musk used the platform to share Dogecoin, creating further speculation.

How Did the Internet React? 

Several users shared their reactions, with one saying, "That’s the best idea for a Department of Government I have ever heard. Staffed with entrepreneurs who know how to be efficient and handle money. Every country should implement this."

Another user shared a picture of Trump and Musk, captioning it: "These two are going to save the world!"

A third commented, "America needs this so bad. It would usher in a new golden age."

However, not all reactions were positive. One user remarked, "While efficiency is important for businesses, in government it’s not so simple. Short-term cuts may save money but often come at the cost of jobs and essential services. True success in governance isn’t just about efficiency but understanding the broader societal impact."

What is the DOGE reference? 

The DOGE reference goes back to Dogecoin, a cryptocurrency inspired by the 'Doge' meme. 

Kabosu, the meme dog who inspired Elon Musk's favorite cryptocurrency Dogecoin, was adopted by a Japanese kindergarten teacher named Atsuko Sato back in 2010. 

Sato posted pictures of Kabosu on her blog, and one particular image, captured Kabosu with a curious and skeptical expression, fascinated the internet. Earlier this year in May, Kabosu died. His official account on X confirmed the Shiba Inu's death, saying the dog was 'a mutual friend and inspiration of our community.
