Viral Video: A harrowing incident took place in the Sabarkantha district of Gujarat when a couple's car became trapped in the middle of a river due to a sudden rise in water levels caused by heavy rains. 

The couple, caught off guard by the flash flood, found themselves stranded on top of their vehicle, clinging to safety as the water rose around them.

The incident occurred near Vadiyavir Bhootiya in Idar taluka. While crossing the river, the couple's car was swept away by the strong current, leaving them no choice but to climb onto the roof to avoid being swept away. 

As hours passed, they remained stranded, braving the relentless waves that threatened to engulf them.

Local residents, witnessing the couple's perilous situation, tried to assist but were unable to reach them due to the fast-flowing water. The rescue operation was further complicated by the strong river current, making it difficult for rescuers to approach the car safely.

As the situation grew increasingly critical, local authorities were alerted, and fire brigade teams from Idar and Himmatnagar were dispatched to the scene. The rescue team, working in coordination with the SDM, Mamlatdar, police, and local people, devised a plan to save the couple.

After waiting for the water flow to subside, the rescuers were able to reach the stranded couple and safely bring them to shore. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the couple was reunited with their loved ones.

Also, Three people were swept away along with their car in the Karol river. The car was being driven by a woman. The accident happened while they were trying to cross the causeway despite the water flow being very fast.

Both were taken out as soon as the water flow reduced. Two fire teams, SDM Mamlatdar, police and local people rescued the people present at the spot.
