Washington: Recently, video footage surfaced from the Donald Trump shooting incident showing a security sniper's rapid response, identifying the suspected assailant just before the shot was fired at the former US president.

The video shows the sniper, positioned on a rooftop, briefly looking up as he appears to spot the suspect moments before the first shot is fired.

The police sniper immediately aimed at the assailant, attempting to shoot him.

A witness reported to the BBC that a man with a rifle was seen on a rooftop minutes before shots were fired at a Donald Trump rally in Pennsylvania. Greg Smith, identified as a witness, described how the man crawled to a building outside the event and pointed him out to police. The gunman was subsequently shot dead by Secret Service agents, according to officials.
