UP News Updates: Social media users are sharing a video of the Shahjahanpur medical college principal being transported by his colleagues on a stretcher in order to avoid the flooded roadways. In the video, the educational institute's principal, Rajesh Kumar, is seen being carried out on a stretcher by four employees, apparently to prevent him from getting his clothes soaked by rainwater.
The video is making the rounds on social media, where it appeared that Kumar asked his workers to carry him out on a stretcher so he could get off the wet pavement without getting his pants wet. The principal was able to walk the flooded path and rest comfortably on the stretcher while the staff members got their clothes wet to around knee level.

Considering the other side of the story, Kumar stood up for himself, claiming that he was unable to walk through the flooded area due to a leg injury. The principal was cited in media reports as stating, "I am unable to walk due to my diabetes and leg injury." He added that he would like assistance from the staff to leave the college grounds. He denied going viral and stated, "I spoke to my working staff members and they said they will take me out of the medical college on a stretcher." He was denying rumors that he was only being carried on the stretcher to keep his clothing dry.
