Techie with 10 Years of Experience Receives ₹65 LPA Offer from Google, But Techies Unimpressed

Viral News: A developer at JP Morgan shared an intriguing profile on X, showcasing an individual with 10 years of experience who secured a ‘’lucrative'' offer from Google. The screenshot revealed a salary of ₹65 lakh per annum, along with additional perks: a ₹9 lakh annual bonus, a ₹19 lakh signing bonus, and a ₹5 lakh relocation bonus, for a Senior Software Engineer role, which they "accepted wholeheartedly."

However, the post left many techies underwhelmed. Some expressed that the numbers were not exceptional for someone with 10 years of experience in the tech industry. One user wrote, "Am I the only one who's not thrilled looking at these numbers? I mean, aren't they common in tech? Am I missing something?"

Others shared similar sentiments. "To be very honest, I'm not impressed with the numbers. I've seen better by the same company. But I'm happy for him. 10 years experience and L5 requires a lot of expertise," said one. Another remarked, "₹60 lakh per annum after 10 years? Some people with three years of experience make way more than that already."

A few users acknowledged the offer was good but not remarkable. "These numbers can be seen with people with six to eight years of experience as well. I have seen people getting similar or even more. But again, that's a really good number, and I hope the guy is happy and wish him all the best."

One user put it into perspective, "How is this crazy by any means for 10 years of experience? It's very good, not crazy. Crazy is my friend living in the room beside getting ₹40 lakh as base salary as a fresher in India."
