Viral Video: Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, showcased a sleek minibus-looking vehicle, like the Cybercab, which would be self-driving and can carry up to 20 passengers at a time. Elon Musk, along with Tesla Cybercab, also released a fully autonomous Robovan with no steering wheel.

Tesla unveiled the driverless Cybercab, which has no steering wheel or pedals at all. The presentation event was held in California, hosted by Elon Musk himself.

The robotaxi is called "Cybercab," will cost less than $30,000, charge wirelessly, and will be "10 to 20 times safer" than human-driven cars, Musk said.

Tesla already has 50 of these cars and wants to begin "fully autonomous, unsupervised" driving in Texas and California next year using existing models and then move into mass production by 2027.

The driverless passenger transport is called "Robovan."  It can accommodate up to 20 people and can be converted to carry cargo.

Musk also showed humanoid robots Optimus again, which can do different tasks. The price is 20-30 thousand dollars, but there is no time frame for sale.

Tesla Cybercab Design

The external body panels of the Tesla Cybercab are made of stainless steel. This material choice is consistent with Tesla's design philosophy for the Cybertruck, emphasising durability, corrosion resistance, and a unique aesthetic. Stainless steel provides strength and a distinctive look, which is part of the Cybercab's futuristic design.

Tesla expects to make the Full Self-Driving technology available in its popular model lineup for Model 3 and Model Y in Texas and California by next year.
