A man from Thane had an unexpected and costly experience on a Tinder date, as he received an astonishing bill of Rs 44,000 at a restaurant. This incident was shared on Reddit by his friend, who warned others about a potential "Tinder scam." According to the bill, the man's date ordered an excessive number of items, including 18 Jagerbombs, two Red Bulls, French fries, salted peanuts, four chocolate truffle cakes, and a special mix, leading to a total of Rs 44,829. The post included a picture of the bill, highlighting the exorbitant charges and raising awareness among other Tinder users to be cautious.

The Reddit user further mentioned that his friend took the matter to the police, seeking intervention. Despite their efforts, the police managed to reduce the bill by only Rs 4,000, leaving the man to pay a still substantial amount of Rs 40,000. This incident has sparked conversations about the potential risks of online dating on social media and the man also shared this incident on Reddit. 

The user posted the picture of the bill and with a caption that reads, “Guys, beware. Tinder scam Posting bill of one of restaurant one of my friend to on a date with a girl..name of hotel: Hotel De Grandeur, Royal Plaza Building, Bhakti Park, Anand Nagar, Thane.”
