Viral News: Tesla CEO Elon Musk has responded to a post on X by Aravind Srinivas, CEO of the AI company Perplexity in which he highlighted the difficulties immigrants face to secure permanent citizenship.
Srinivas revealed he has been waiting for a green card for the last three years, a document that grants permission to work and live in the U.S. permanently.

“I have been waiting for my green card for like the last 3 years. Still haven’t gotten it. People mostly have no idea when they talk about immigration,” he wrote in response to another Indian-origin user's post discussing the general discourse on immigrants in the U.S.
Describing the U.S. visa process as "an upside-down system," Srinivas's post caught Musk’s attention. Musk responded, assuring Republican Candidate along with his cabinet will fix this.

“We have an upside-down system that makes it hard for highly talented people to come to America legally, but trivial for criminals to come here illegally. Why is it easier to get in illegally as a murderer than legally as a Nobel Laureate? @realDonaldTrump and DOGE will fix this,” Musk replied on X (formerly Twitter).
What is DOGE?
DOGE stands for the “Department of Government Efficiency.”

In August, Trump declared he would offer Musk a cabinet post if he returned to the White House. In response to a user who suggested “DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency)” as the name for the proposed department, Musk agreed, saying, “Perfect name.”
For the upcoming US presidential elections Trump has kept illegal immigration as a focal point.
