VIDEO: Devotees at Banke Bihari Temple Drink AC Water Mistaking it for ‘Charan Amrit’

Viral News: A viral video from the Banke Bihari Mandir in Mathura shows devotees mistaking water dripping from an elephant sculpture for charan amrit which is holy water from the feet of Lord Krishna. 

The video, which has gained over 2.8 million views on X, captures devotees collecting the water in cups or their hands, believing it to be blessed.

However, as per reports the water was actually discharged from an air conditioning unit. Tubes from the AC system, designed to resemble elephants as part of the temple's architecture, released the water.

In the video, a bystander warns the devotees, but many ignore the advice.

The incident has sparked an online debate about superstition and the need for scientific awareness. "A lack of scientific temper breeds myths, superstition, division, and herd mentality," one user on X commented. 

Another questioned, "Why doesn’t anyone pause to think? This is pure herd mentality."

Medical expert The Liver Doc warned against consuming water from air conditioning systems, citing potential infection risks, including harmful fungi.
